Hollywood turned back the clock more than 50 years to celebrate the first ever Turner Classic Film Festival.
Legendary actors Eli Wallach, Ernest Borgnine, and Martin Landau joined film lovers Alec Baldwin, Chris Kline, and Jacqueline Bisset on the red carpet at Graumans Chinese theatre for the festivals first screening, the restored classic, A Star is Born.
Another classic brand, Buick, co-sponsored the event, and was front and center on the red carpet as it shuttled celebrities to and from the Hollywood gala.
The historic Roosevelt hotel, the site of the very first academy awards, provided the backdrop for hundreds of attendees to the film festival. More than 50 classic films are screening in three theatres over a four day period: Graumans Chinese Theatre, Manns Chinese 6 and the Egyptian theatre are host to such dazzling film titles like: Some Like it Hot, Casablanca, The Graduate, Singing in the Rain, and Midnight Cowboy to name a few.
Funnyman Mel Brooks was honored by TCM with his own star on Hollywoods Walk of Fame. Fans from around the world were dazzled by not only the number of attendees, but by the quality and timelessness of these classic movies on the big screen.
Bader TV Hollywood bureau had camera teams on-location covering the festival.
